The history of the dome

The origin of the Dômes de Mormal lies first and foremost in roots, my own, as a farmer from generation to generation at the edge of Mormal.

My daily life has always been governed by the land, the fresh air and the calm of our beautiful region.

But then, how do we go from the farm to geodesic domes?

It all started one evening, quite by chance, while watching the show "L'amour est dans le pré" (Love is in the Meadow). Watching a couple of contestants escape for a stay in a dome, their heads in the stars, the idea sparked. Why not offer that same magical interlude here? The idea was born.

A concept of absolute reconnection

I envisioned this place as a refuge. The concept? To offer you a total reconnection. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, the dome is a haven of serenity designed to make you forget about time. Here, people come seeking absolute calm, the whisper of the trees, and the comfort of an unusual night surrounded by nature.

Going from farming to building geodesic domes is quite an adventure! While I know tractors inside and out, assembling these geometric structures has held a few surprises.

My greatest moment of solitude?

I'd say it's waterproof! Let's just say there were a few close calls and some unpredictable weather, but also some good laughs (in hindsight!). I struggled, I adjusted, and I finally tamed the beast. Now I can tell you that the dome is a true cocoon and completely waterproof.
